Bold, buttery swordfish with bright lemon and garlic-forward flavor. Ready in under 15 minutes. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or an elevated meal at home, this dish pairs easily with roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad, making it as versatile as it is satisfying.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 swordfish steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- 3 tbsp TruFlavor Shrimp Scampi Blend
- 2 tbsp ghee, butter or olive oil
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)
DIRECTIONS
1. Rub the Shrimp Scampi Blend evenly over all sides of the swordfish steaks.
2. Heat ghee or olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
3. Add swordfish and sear for about 2 minutes without moving, until a golden crust forms.
4. Turn the steaks and immediately pour the lemon juice over the fish.
5. Transfer skillet to a preheated 400°F oven and cook for 5–6 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F.
6. Remove from oven, let rest for 2 minutes, then serve with lemon wedges if desired.
Tips
- Do not overcook—swordfish dries out quickly past 145°F
- Spoon pan juices over the fish before serving for extra flavor
